Martha Oak Adventures is an urban fantasy book series about Martha Oak, a morally grey witch with trust issues and a taste for forbidden magic, and Ra-Ra, her trusted, but very smug raven.

Her “you only live once”-attitude often clashes with her overly protective and anxious spirit animal Ra-Ra who would love to not die for once.
Martha lives in Munich and owns an antique shop in which she sells all kinds of witchy, occult-y things while hiding in plain sight as a witch.
Being a citizen of the hidden fairytale and myth society means that she often encounters other characters from myths, legends, and folklore (mainly German or European ones) who need her help or want to kill her … I mean, it really is a 50/50 chance – or more like a 20/80 with Martha.

One haunted witch. One terrifying demon. One very cursed Christmas.

Cursed in the Midnight Cemetery

German Title:
Verflucht auf dem Mitternachtsfriedhof
Martha sneaks into the Midnight Cemetery, thinking she’s just on a simple mission to snag a rare blue poppy flower, but her grand scheme quickly spirals into a comedy of errors when her pet raven realises she’s actually cursed – and is about to kick the bucket.
Talk about a buzzkill for a midnight heist!
Genres: urban fantasy, adventure, heist, fairytale
The German short story was published in the anthology “Mitternachtsgeschichten” by Münchner Schreiberlinge e.V..

Spin-Off Novella
Verflixte Nixen / Darned Mermaids

A rebellious witch. A ruthless fairytale cop. One cursed mission that might end in murder … oops!
When moon witch Martha Oak is forced to team up with Rosenrot – her worst (and most annoying) enemy and the Fairytale Police’s scariest enforcer – things go sideways fast.
The job? Dangerous. The monsters? Deadly. The company? Utterly insufferable.
Expect creepy mermaids, accidental deaths, and magical mayhem in a world with twisted fairytale retellings where breaking the rules might be the only way to survive.
If Hellboy and Fables had a lovechild raised on dark fairytales and bad choices, it would look like this.
Genres: adult urban fantasy, dark fantasy, fairytale, buddy comedy, action, mystery, monster hunt
Tropes/Themes: grumpy vs sunshine, creepy folklore-inspired monsters, forbidden magic, morally grey characters, enemies forced to team-up, fast-paced brutal action, female rage, chaotic magic, hidden weird, sassy fairytale world
